Construction
Lines, polylines, circles, arcs, rectangles, and other practical technical geometry are within the intended scope.
CAD-style PDF drawing
CAD drawing inside PDF means constructing precise lines, arcs, circles, polylines, and related geometry while the technical document remains the working context. LAMBDA PDF S&E is being designed to bring CAD-style snapping, coordinates, modification, and dimensional control into a PDF workspace without presenting the PDF as a substitute for the native CAD model.
Context
A cloud or freehand line can identify an area, but some reviews require aligned, measured, or constrained geometry that can be inspected and modified precisely.
The planned drawing environment keeps constructed geometry over the relevant sheet, allowing technical context and geometric intent to remain visible together.
Workflow
Choose a construction tool and use page, coordinate, or geometry references appropriate to the drawing.
Snap to relevant points, construct geometry, and modify position, size, direction, or relationships using planned technical controls.
Retain the geometry with the supported document working state so it can be reviewed, revised, or measured later.
Scope
Lines, polylines, circles, arcs, rectangles, and other practical technical geometry are within the intended scope.
Snapping, coordinates, dimensions, and consistent properties are designed to reduce ambiguous freehand placement.
Select, move, trim, extend, offset, and revise supported geometry while keeping the drawing visible underneath.
It is not a claim of full native CAD, BIM, parametric modelling, simulation, manufacturing, or 3D-authoring capability.
PDF page geometry may not carry the same semantics, model history, units, coordinate systems, or design authority as the original engineering model.
Questions
No. It creates and modifies supported geometry in the PDF workspace; it does not recreate the source model, feature history, or full CAD authoring environment.
Snapping, coordinate-aware construction, and dimensional control are within the planned scope, subject to release qualification.
The drawing and measurement areas are designed to work together so supported geometry can participate in calibrated review and quantification workflows.
